Carrick Bannockburn Chardonnay
Carrick Vineyards, Bannockburn, Central Otago
This is classic Chardonnay, inviting and unctuous. It is barrel fermented, and aged in oak for around 10 months, which gives the wine time to develop the delicious nutty and biscuity characters. Perfect for enjoying slightly chilled with cheese, a creamy pasta or just by itself after a long day.
Barrel-fermented chardonnay using indigenous yeasts. An intriguing wine with white peach, grapefruit, ginger and a suggestion of mandarin blossom. Smooth-textured wine. Fruity acidity gives the wine energy and a lingering finish. Bob Campbell, © The Real Review

Carrick Cairnmuir Terraces EBM Chardonnay
Cairnmuir Vineyard, Bannockburn, Central Otago
The Cairnmuir Terraces EBM Chardonnay is our top Chardonnay and the name refers to the extended time it spends in barrel before bottling - Extended Barrel Maturation. Hand-picked from fruit grown on the top and lower terraces of our Cairnmuir road vineyard. It is a textural wine with a lovely citrus line and unctuous peach toast notes. Think large glass in front of the fire type of wine. Or a wine to impress at a dinner party. We think it tastes great with roast chicken and mushroom risotto.
