Elizabeth is the heart of her dreaming film industry as well as this talented group. She always has enthusiasm for wine so that she took over Kennedy Point and Carrick as CEO. When not at Waiheke with our sister winery, Kennedy Point, or tied up with her film interests, Elizabeth ventures south to where her heart really lies.
She brings an international perspective of management and involves in every aspect of all her business. She values individual talents whilst encourage teamwork at the same time. Under her management, people become the core of our culture. Hospitable without fault, she can knock up a Jiaozi or Zhaziji at the drop of a hat. Serves them with Josephine Riesling or Bannockburn Pinot Noir.
With passion and determination, she is striving to lead Sunbow, Carrick and Kennedy Point to become a sustainable and prestigious business. She is the key to the company’s success.

General Manager & Head Winemaker
The art of winegrowing in an Organic and Biodynamic direction is a movement with serious muscle in New Zealand, and Francis Hutt is an absolute shining light in that regard. Having been a member of the NZ Biodynamic Association for the last decade and immersing himself in workshops held across the world on a regular basis, Francis’s philosophy on winemaking and life is “Listen, observe, translate”.
It’s a philosophy which has earned the wines he creates a swag of awards since he became the youngest chief winemaker in the district back in 2011. He oversees the winemaking at Carrick.

The newest member of our team on board since mid-2018, Cliff has come home after several years taking care of vineyards in Australia’s Yarra Valley. Having previously spent many years working in Central Otago vineyards he has developed a love for the region and its unique climate. With his devotion to organics, Cliff has taken the reins in the Carrick vineyards, continuing the hard work to build our vine and soil health. When not in the vineyard as a jack of all trades, he is often found tinkering with projects in his shed.
Cliff is a strong believer it is very much a joint effort in the vineyard and is delighted to have inherited a great vineyard team to help him keep our property in shape and get our awesome fruit to the winery.

Solange (Sol) Felix de Souza
Cellar Door Manager
Sol as she is known, arrived in New Zealand from her home country Brazil early September 2006. She then decided to travel down to Central Otago to join the wine industry and has been The Cellar Door Manager with Carrick Wines and Restaurant in Central Otago for over 2 years.
She feels thankful for the opportunity to be part of and living within Central Otago while supporting the wine industry and company that she has grown to love and respect so much.
Sol is the first port of call if you are after a bottle or two of Carrick. She continually raids our library and is always happy to advise you on what to have, when.

Gwen has loved cooking since childhood growing up on an Otago hill country farm where the kitchen was the hub of the homestead. Her career has been shaped by travelling and cooking round the globe. A highlight was working at a Michelin star restaurant in London. Gwen was excited to take on the Head Chef role at Carrick Christmas 2012.
Some of her favourite things about Carrick are being able to observe the seasonal changes in vineyard & our garden. Central Otago’s abundance of seasonal produce. The friendly team environment. Her connection to Bannockburn - her Nana’s family settled here during the gold rush. Finally last but definitely not least and the stunning wines.
It is this attention to seasonal and local produce which compliments the wine and surroundings, which has seen her kitchen team win several awards.

Linda is the first point of contact in the office of Carrick Wines Ltd. She is happy to assist with all and any queries and if unable to help will ensure to point you in the right direction so that your query will be answered correctly and in a timely fashion. Linda comes to us with an extensive background in both accounting and previous winery experience.
Working in various roles as a volunteer, she makes an important contribution to the wellbeing of our community. She is a master organiser, using her expertise in the arcane arts of accountancy to maintain order in her corner of an untidy world. She plans, instructs, and subtly leads people with great integrity.

Event & Accommodation Manager
The ever so talented and photogenic Bingwen came on board with us in 2018 bringing with her a diverse knowledge of global cultures. She has devoted much of her life to learning. After finishing her Master degrees in Interpretation, Bingwen lived in England for a period of time, primarily to gain her Master degree in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching. This was followed by several years of various work experience.
Since gaining her Diploma in Business Management here in New Zealand Bingwen was drawn to the Kiwi lifestyle and decided it was a great place to pursue her career.
We recognised Bingwen’s great skills and enthusiasm and thought she would complement the rest of our fabulous team. She is fluent in Mandarin, English and has the understanding of Japanese and Cantonese.
In her own time, Bingwen enjoys music, Chinese folk dancing and exploring Central Otago.
She is ready to plan and execute your events and will make every effort for your stay at Carrick to be comfortable and enjoyable.
