Steve and Barbara Green
Steve and Barbara first planted Carrick in 1994 to watch it grow to be one of the leading Central Otago wineries. They have been a guiding light in the promotion of Central Otago wines with Steve having been both the chairperson of Central Otago Pinot Noir Limited, the highly successful marketing arm of Central Otago Winegrowers and also the President of the Central Otago Winegrowers Association. More latterly he has been the Chair of New Zealand Winegrowers, the national body for all winemakers and grape growers.
When not at Waiheke with our sister winery, Kennedy Point, or tied up with her film interests, Elizabeth ventures south to where her heart really lies. Hospitable without fault, she can knock up a Jiaozi or Zhaziji at the drop of a hat.Serves them with Josephine Riesling or Bannockburn Pinot Noir.
General Manager / Head Winemaker
Francis joined Carrick in 2010 having decided that Central Otago was where he wanted to be, being appointed as Winemaker in August 2011. He has a particular interest in organic and natural wine production, taking us on a journey of new ways of dealing with our grapes and of exploring alternate wine styles. He was appointed as General Manager in 2018. If not in the winery, on the ski slopes, or with his family he is to be seen presenting our wines in markets around the world.

Blair joined Carrick in 2008 and quickly made an impact with his passion for organic viticulture. He oversaw our transition to certified organic production and works hard to ensure that our fruit is as good as it gets. He manages our small team throughout the year and our rather large team for the 3 weeks of harvest. Plays a mean game of golf.

Quietly and calmly efficient Gay manages to be the phone voice of Carrick and pretty much everything else. She is the expert on overseas shipping requirements, and manages the allocations with ruthless accuracy, but plead for that last case of Pinot Noir and you may just be lucky. Owned by her cat, Sasha.

Gwen designs and produces food with both style and substance whether its using local Otago and Southland beef or lamb, produce from our own garden or delicacies from the southern ocean. With a constantly changing menu she and Sous Chef Becky always have something to surprise and delight. Can be seen in the backcountry when not in the kitchen.

A Stewart Island girl, Jan knows all about good fresh food. She and her staff will welcome you to Carrick, help you through the menu and find the right wine to match your choice. Can be seen jogging around Cromwell as the sun rises.

Solange (Sol) Felix de Souza
Cellar Door Manager
Sol is the first port of call if you are after a bottle or two of Carrick. She continually raids our library and is always happy to advise you on what to have, when. Coming from Brazil 10 years ago, she regards herself as a true kiwi.
